Two Gentlemen of Verona

The play that Shakespeare party started. Shakespeare hit his writing career running with this lively romantic comedy about two young bros making their way in the world and have a love for the ladies.

Virtuous Valentine is leaving his home of Verona to go study abroad at the Duke of Mantua's court leaving his bud Proteus. Upon arriving in Mantua, Valentine falls instantly in love with the Duke's daughter, Silvia, and while she's interested she plays hard to get. Proteus himself is in love with the needy Julia but is enthused to travel to join Valentine at the behest of his father. Julia is unsure that Proteus will stay faithful to her and decides to follow Proteus disguised as boy.

Just as Julia suspected Proteus' wandering eye settles on Silvia. Proteus then sets about sabotaging his friend's budding romance and her father the Duke banishes him. On the run, Valentine employs some helpful outlaws to assist him in outing Proteus and getting Silvia.

This Princess Bride style romp is punctuated with thrilling
sword fights, buffoonish clowns and reunited love.
